AfterPing collects and stores the following information on your phone only:

• Location Data: AfterPing does not collect GPS coordinates or location information
• Device Identifiers: AfterPing does not collect device IDs, IMEI, or advertising IDs
• Network Data: AfterPing does not collect IP addresses, MAC addresses, or network information
• Usage Analytics: AfterPing does not track your usage patterns or app interactions
• Third-Party Data: AfterPing does not collect data from third-party services or social media accounts

Data Storage

Local Storage Only

All data collected by AfterPing is stored exclusively on your phone. AfterPing does not:

• Transmit any data to remote servers
• Sync data to cloud services
• Share data with third parties
• Store data in external databases
• Use analytics or tracking services

Data Storage on Your Device

• All notification history and app data is encrypted and stored in your phone's internal storage
• Data is encrypted to protect your privacy and secured using your device's built-in security features
• You have full control over your data and can delete it at any time through the App

Data Usage

How Your Data Is Used

The collected data is used only to provide the core functionality of the App:

• Notification History: Display and organize your notification history
• Search Functionality: Enable searching through past notifications
• Reminders: Create and manage reminders based on notifications
• Organization: Allow you to organize notifications by apps, tags, favorites, etc.
• Statistics: Provide insights about your notification patterns
• Focus Sessions: Enable focus mode functionality to temporarily block notifications and track focus session history

Permissions Required

AfterPing requires the following permissions to function:

• Notification Access: To capture and store notifications
• Post Notifications: To display reminder notifications (Android 13+)
• Exact Alarm: To schedule precise reminder alarms (Android 12+)
• Battery Optimization Exemption: To ensure reminders work reliably

All permissions are used solely for the App's core functionality and are not used for any other purpose.

Focus Sessions

What Are Focus Sessions?

Focus Sessions is a feature in AfterPing that allows you to temporarily block notifications from appearing in your notification bar. When a focus session is active, notifications from selected apps are automatically dismissed from the notification bar, helping you stay focused on your current task.

How Focus Sessions Work

Focus Session Data Storage

The following information is stored locally on your device for focus sessions:

• Focus Session History: Start time, end time, and duration of each focus session
• Session Status: Whether a focus session is currently active or completed
• App Configuration: Your preferences for which apps should be affected by focus sessions

This data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to any external servers.

Persistent Notification

During an active focus session, AfterPing displays a persistent notification in your notification bar to indicate that focus mode is active. This notification shows the remaining time for the focus session and provides quick access to stop the session. This notification is displayed locally on your device and does not transmit any data.

Your Control

• You can start, stop, or extend focus sessions at any time
• You can configure which apps are excluded from focus session dismissal
• You can view your focus session history
• You can delete individual focus session records from your history
• All focus session data is deleted when you uninstall the App

Data Security

Security Measures

• Phone Storage Only: All data is stored on your phone, reducing the risk of external breaches
• No Internet Transmission: Since we don't send data over the internet, there's no risk of interception during transmission
• Device Security: We rely on your device's built-in security features for data protection
• No Remote Servers: We have no servers or cloud storage that could be compromised

Your Responsibility

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your phone
• It is recommended to enable phone encryption and screen locks
• Uninstalling the App will delete all stored data

Data Deletion

Your Rights

You have complete control over your data:

• Delete Individual Items: Delete specific notifications, apps, or focus session records at any time
• Bulk Deletion: Delete multiple items using selection mode
• Archive: Archive notifications to remove them from the main view
• Focus Session History: Delete individual focus session records from your history
• Uninstall: Uninstalling the App permanently deletes all stored data, including focus session history

How to Delete Data

1. Open the App
2. Select the items you want to delete
3. Use the delete action, or
4. Uninstall the App to delete all data

Third-Party Services

AdMob

AfterPing uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect:

• Device Information: Device type, OS version, language
• Advertising ID: Android Advertising ID (can be reset in device settings)
• Location: General location based on IP address (approximate)

We do not share your notification data with AdMob. AdMob's data collection is governed by Google's Privacy Policy.

You can opt-out of personalized ads in your device settings:

• Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Reset advertising ID / Opt out of Ads Personalization

Children's Privacy

AfterPing is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child, please contact us immediately.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. You will be notified of any changes by:

• Updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this policy
• Posting the updated policy in the App's GitHub repository
• For significant changes, additional notice may be provided through the app

Your continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
